Moooving right along into August 2010, I decided to try these Berroco coasters. I figure—what better time for felting than when you are living at someone else’s house? (Seriously though—no washers were harmed in the execution of this project.)
I had to experiment with a couple of yarns and couple of needle sizes (details in the Ravelry project notes) before I settled on the Malabrigo on 7s. I made a set of six that I gifted to some friends, and in the R&D process ended up with two I kept for myself (they were slightly larger than I intended, although I kind of like them that way).
These are not a massive time investment (took me about two weeks after I had the specs worked out, which for me is a pretty quick project), practical and cool looking. Would make a great housewarming gift. Which gives me an idea for our new neighbors moving in across the street at this very minute…
